Biography

Lulu de la Rosa is a guitarist, multi-instrumentalist and mixing/mastering engineer from Normandy, France (Caen / Cherbourg-en-Cotentin). Working primarily in progressive metal and djent, de la Rosa released the solo instrumental EP “Sunlight Highlights” in May 2020, on which they played and programmed every instrument apart from a guest solo by Sithu Aye. The EP earned recognition in the progressive-music scene, including Progspace Awards nominations for Guitarist of the Year and EP of the Year, and de la Rosa is also active as a session guitarist and engineer (notably mastering Ihlo’s debut album “Union” and collaborating with the project Soledad).

Citing influences such as Periphery, David Maxim Micic, Helix Nebula and Symphony X, de la Rosa is known online for technical multi-instrumental cover videos and for a focus on clear, punchy, “big”-sounding mixes in their production work.
