Bob Wijtsma is a Dutch guitarist based in the Rotterdam/Vlaardingen area of South Holland. He began playing guitar at age eight, studying classical guitar for four years before switching to electric, and went on to graduate from the Codarts Conservatory in Rotterdam in 2005.
His band and project credits include Xystus (2004-2010), Ex Libris (from 2015, including the 2019 concept album “ANN”), and Ayreon, with whom he performed the complete “Into the Electric Castle” during Arjen Lucassen’s sold-out 2019 shows at the 013 venue in Tilburg.
