Biography
Thomas Cochrane is a Dutch recording, mixing and mastering engineer and multi-instrumentalist. Trained in audio engineering at the Mediacollege Amsterdam, he describes himself as an all-round engineer, musician and producer with a preference for natural, dynamic recordings, and his credits span genres from jazz to black metal, including work with Ayreon (Transitus), Fluisteraars, Jan Rot and the Basin Street Jazzband.
Cochrane is an active performing musician. He began playing trumpet at age five in his father’s Dixieland jazz band, studied bass guitar as his main instrument through the ROC Music program, and has played guitar, bass, trumpet and trombone in pop, rock and metal ensembles. He operates under the name TC Music Productions.
