Biography
Dave Mola is a German guitarist and keyboardist based in Nuremberg, working primarily in progressive metal and prog/fusion. He is best known as a founding member of the female-fronted progressive metal band Effloresce, which he formed in 2008 with drummer Tobi Suss; the group’s debut album “Coma Ghosts” (2012) was mixed and mastered by Dan Swano. He also plays guitar in the instrumental prog/fusion projects Looped Squares and Time Shift Accident, both also rooted in the Nuremberg scene, where he is noted for a melodic, funk-inflected fusion style. He cites Pink Floyd as a major influence.
