Biography

Frank Schiphorst (born 20 August 1976, Netherlands) is a Dutch guitarist, composer and producer best known as a founding guitarist and songwriter of the symphonic death metal band MaYaN, which he formed in 2010 with Mark Jansen and Jack Driessen. An Ibanez-endorsed player (also endorsing Positive Grid and InTune Guitar Picks), he is recognized for his technical, melodic lead playing across the Dutch and international metal scene.

Beyond MaYaN, Schiphorst leads the instrumental/fusion project APEX (alongside drummer Romain Goulon and bassist Roel Käller) and has contributed to numerous projects including Symmetry and Christmas Metal Symphony. He also works as a professional audio engineer and music producer.
