Biography
Joop de Rooij is a Dutch keyboardist and synthesist active in the Netherlands’ symphonic and progressive metal scene. He is best known for his keyboard work with the symphonic metal band Magion and the band Galanor, and he later joined the American-Dutch symphonic metal/rock band Mercy Isle as keyboard player. His playing is characterized by layered orchestral and synth textures typical of the symphonic metal style.
