Biography

Lola Damblant-Soler is a French guitarist, vocalist and composer from Metz, in the Lorraine region of north-east France. She is best known as the founder, bandleader and creative force behind the progressive metal project Soledad, which she started as a solo project in 2016 and developed into a full four-piece band. Soledad released the album Catharsis in 2019 (originally as “Soledad, A Solo Project”) followed by XIII in 2022, blending djent-influenced progressive metal with a classically informed, romantic sensibility. Her sound draws on influences such as Muse, Dream Theater, Leprous, Haken and Queen alongside classical composers including Chopin, Debussy and Brahms.

Alongside her own project, Damblant-Soler works as a guitar/music teacher and composer, with a background that includes musicology studies and training at the MAI music academy.
