Biography
Ron ‘Brew’ Brouwer is a Dutch vocalist based in Utrecht, the Netherlands, working in the heavy rock, metal and progressive rock scene. He discovered melodic rock and musical theater as a teenager, co-founding his first band, Oxygen, at 16 (singing and playing keyboards), and later performed with the Dutch thrash band Mystrez in the late 1980s and early 1990s. He also auditioned for major Dutch musical productions including Les Miserables, before spending years as a secondary-school teacher. In 2018 he began hosting “Ron’s Brew,” a monthly radio show dedicated to heavy, metal and progressive rock, and he later appeared as a guest on the metal program “Razende Roeland” (Omroep Zilt / Shine Radio). In 2019 he briefly joined the international metal band Sacrosanct as their singer, contributing lyrics and vocals before he and the band parted ways. Following this experience, Ron started his own solo project Exi(s)t with which he launched his debut album “Collateral Damage” in 2023
