Biography
Sara Weeda is a Dutch singer, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter who grew up in a musical family in Rotterdam, where she began playing piano at age 7 and went on to study Music in Education. In 2013 she joined the renowned Irish vocal ensemble ANÚNA, touring internationally as a soprano while also serving as the group’s production coordinator and educational facilitator in the Netherlands. She is the featured soloist on ANÚNA’s widely streamed recording of Enya’s “May It Be,” and in 2022 she was announced as a featured vocalist on two songs from the video game Xenoblade Chronicles III, performing compositions by Yasunori Mitsuda.
Alongside ANÚNA, Sara is a member of the folk projects SYSTIR and SeeD Pagan Folk and the rock band Crashing Bats, and she works freelance as a vocalist for film composers, pop artists and rock/metal bands.
