Biography
Tommy Talamanca is an Italian guitarist, keyboardist, composer and record producer, best known as a core member of the progressive death metal band Sadist, which he joined in 1991. He is noted for his distinctive technique of playing six- or seven-string guitar and keyboards simultaneously, blending technical metal with world-music textures (instruments such as duduk, tabla and bodhran feature in his work).
In 1996 he founded the Nadir Recording Studio in Genoa, Italy, which grew into Nadir Music Srl, a full production company with multiple studios, rehearsal rooms and a live space. As a producer and engineer he has worked with acts including Sadist, Dark Lunacy and Nerve, and has contributed guest guitar to records by artists such as Obscura.
